• Downtown Chattanooga sinkhole repairs nearly done after broken pipe fixed (newschannel9.com) — Downtown Chattanooga's Cherry Street sinkhole is almost fully repaired after crews fixed the broken underground pipe, with only surface paving and stairway work left. The city credits help from the Chattanooga Fire Department for saving time and money, and pedestrians are asked to stay behind barriers until the sidewalk officially reopens.
   

• Chattanooga business owner considers shutting down store after 3 burglaries (local3news.com) — A longtime Chattanooga furniture store owner on Lee Highway is considering closing after her business was hit by three burglaries, most recently this summer. She says thieves took over $10,000 in furniture and feels shaken running the shop and raising two daughters alone. Chattanooga Police confirm a report was filed and ask anyone with information to come forward.
