Chattanooga Police Officer Shoots Armed Man During East 17th Street Incident (wdef.com) — A Chattanooga police officer shot an armed man Saturday evening on East 17th Street after officers tried to negotiate with him and the situation escalated, authorities say. The man was taken to a local hospital, no officers were injured, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is now reviewing the shooting at the request of the local district attorney.

Over 650 Volunteers Participate In Fall Day Of Caring 2026 (chattanoogan.com) — More than 650 volunteers fanned out across Greater Chattanooga for United Way's Fall Day of Caring, tackling over 40 projects that saved local nonprofits tens of thousands of dollars and staff hours.
