• National Park announces rare tours for 30th anniversary of Cumberland Gap Tunnel (claiborneprogress.net) — Cumberland Gap National Historical Park is marking the 30th anniversary of the Cumberland Gap Tunnel with rare, behind-the-scenes tours October 16–18, including guided tunnel visits and walks to the historic Gap. All programs are free, but space for tunnel tours is limited and reservations are required through the park visitor center.
