• George Washington and Jefferson National Forest invites community to participate in National Trails Day events - West Virginia Daily News (wvdn.com) — Big Stone Gap residents are invited to help repair the Lake Keokee loop trail on National Trails Day, with a volunteer workday at the boat ramp off State Road 876. The George Washington and Jefferson National Forest is hosting similar trail and campsite projects across its ranger districts on June 6, plus waiving standard recreation fees that day to encourage people to get outside and pitch in.
