Krispy Kreme Murder Suspect Arrested, Another Charged

Metro Police announced the arrest of a man suspected of killing a Krispy Kreme delivery driver in December 2016.

NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police arrested a 22-year-old man for the December murder of a Krispy Kreme driver outside of a Donelson Mapco.

MNPD announced Monday that Savion Wilson is charged with the first-degree murder of Al Baker, a Krispy Kreme driver who was shot and killed outside of the convenience store December 4.

Police believe that Wilson had just robbed the store prior to Wilson's death.

A second man, Daquan Fields, was also indicted on the charges. He is not yet in custody in Nashville. MNPD will hold a news conference Monday afternoon.

"Al Baker was a valued team member at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for more than 30 years. We remember Al for his dedication to his family, and we continue to keep Al in our thoughts. The Krispy Kreme family appreciates the law enforcement officers and their diligence in finding the suspect," Krispy Kreme said in a statement.
