Police Still Searching for Answers in Death of Woman Found in a Neely's Bend Ditch

An investigation is underway to see if the body is that of a local woman reported missing Monday.

MADISON, TN — Detectives are now investigating whether the body of a woman found in a ditch in Neely's Bend Monday is that of a 26-year-old woman who lived nearby who was reported missing by her family Monday morning.

The decomposed body was found in a ditch on Hudson Road near Pinewood Acres Drive by passersby around 8:30 p.m. Monday.

An initial autopsy did not determine a cause of death. Investigators are trying to identify the woman through her fingerprints.
