October 19, 2021

Conducted in partnership with the National Research Center at Polco, the survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Participation is crucial to planning projects and providing services. All input is greatly appreciated.

Responses from previous surveys have resulted in improvements to the downtown area – including enhanced street sweeping and maintenance and the addition of LED lighting – and increased satisfaction in these areas according to subsequent surveys. Other projects developed out of the survey include Founders Park and the Tweetsie Trail.

β€œBecause the survey is conducted consistently and on a regular schedule, it’s one of the best tools we have to measure trends. Are we on track? Are we improving? Do we need to focus our efforts on certain areas?” said City Manager Pete Peterson. β€œIt’s also one of the greatest opportunities citizens have to tell elected officials what is important to them.”
