Johnson City: Memorial Park Community Center To Host Esports: Everything You Need To Know Program

Memorial Park Community Center, 510 Bert St., invites high school students to learn more about college opportunities available through Esports with guest speakers from East Tennessee State University.

Offered to students ages 14-19, this free presentation will be held 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 in the MPCC dining room.
The most common form of Esports is organized, multiplayer video game competitions, particularly between professional players, individually or as teams. ETSU offers an online certificate in Esports management, as well as a program with multiple teams competing in League of Legend and Overwatch tournaments and scrimmages.

This program is limited to 25 participants due to social distancing guidelines. Attendees must preregister in person at MPCC or by calling 423-434-5749. Registration will be open Sept.1-15.
