The driver, a convicted felon, now faces multiple drug, theft, firearm, and driving charges. Police say the case highlights how technology and proactive policing help keep illegal drugs and guns out of La Vergne neighborhoods. 
• Emergency Crews Search Percy Priest Lake After Person Goes Overboard Near La Vergne (wgnsradio.com) — La Vergne Fire Rescue and Police rushed to the Hurricane Creek Boat Ramp on Percy Priest Lake after a report of someone going overboard near La Vergne. Crews launched a swiftwater boat and coordinated with state wildlife officers before learning the incident fell under Nashville's jurisdiction. La Vergne units then stood down as Metro agencies took over the search.
• Blackman shuts out La Vergne 38-0 (mainstreetmediatn.com) — La Vergne football fans saw their team shut out 38-0 at home by Blackman, which improved to 3-2 and 1-1 in Region 3-6A. Former La Vergne coach Will Hester returned leading Blackman, whose offense and defense both produced big plays. The roundup also briefly notes wins and losses for MTCS, Concord Christian, Cornersville, and Eagleville.
