Woman killed in Sunday morning crash in Nashville (wsmv.com) — A woman from Nashville died after her pickup left Murfreesboro Pike near the Summit East Nashville Apartments, went up an embankment, and flipped, ejecting her from the truck. Police say she was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she later died as officers work to notify her family.

'Left in limbo': Glencliff residents uncertain about their future as I-24 Choice Lanes project advances (wsmv.com) — Glencliff residents in Nashville's new Noble Place townhomes are anxiously waiting to learn whether the advancing I-24 Choice Lanes project will take or closely encroach on their homes. Tennessee advocates ask Congress to delay SNAP cost shift (wreg.com) — Nashville-based advocacy groups are urging Congress to delay a looming shift that would force Tennessee to cover most SNAP administrative costs starting Oct. 1, potentially exposing the state to hundreds of millions in penalties. With federal funding to Tennessee already dropping and SNAP participation falling, local residents who rely on food assistance could see tighter eligibility and more strain on state services.
