The ruling backs Metro's permitting moratorium and sends some issues toward state courts, after months of neighborhood pushback over building a large data center beside the zoo.

2. THC Drinks in Tennessee: Are They Legal, Where to Buy Them and What's Changing (2026) (herb.co) — If you're buying THC drinks in Nashville, you now have to purchase them in person from TABC-licensed liquor stores, bars, or 21+ hemp shops like Frugal MacDoogal, Corkdorks, and Clara Jane, with strict potency limits per serving. This statewide overhaul also bans gas-station sales, tightens testing and labeling rules, and could face another big shake-up when new federal hemp limits kick in December 2026.

3. 4. Clarksville Has Tennessee's 2nd Lowest Gas Prices (clarksvilleonline.com) — Nashville drivers are paying about $3.93 per gallon for regular gas, as Tennessee's average price dips below $4 while still sitting more than a dollar above last year. AAA says recent drops in crude oil prices are easing pump costs, but advises motorists to conserve fuel and maintain vehicles to stretch their budgets.

5. Tennessee lawmaker calls for public hearing after Christa Pike survives execution attempt (wkrn.com) — A Nashville-based state lawmaker wants a public legislative hearing in January to scrutinize Tennessee's execution procedures after Christa Pike survived a lethal injection attempt.
