Police Seek White Pickup Linked To Fatal Hit-And-Run

A Sparta woman died in the July 15 accident, say Metro Nashville police.

NASHVILLE, TN — The Metro Nashville police released photos Thursday taken from a surveillance camera of a white pickup truck that was involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident on July 15. Crash investigators with the Police Department are working to locate the truck.

The truck, believed to be a crew cab model, struck a 29-year-old woman at 3:35 a.m. on Charlotte Avenue, according to the police.

Kayla Anderson, of Sparta, was with a friend in a vehicle at a Shell market, at 2120 Charlotte Ave., when she walked away. The friend told police that Anderson was intoxicated.

"Based on her injuries, it appears that Anderson was lying in the roadway when she was struck," the police said.
