• Anderson County says, 'Yes' to Rail-Trail. Is Scott County Next? (scnoneida.net) — A proposed rail-trail along the abandoned rail line from Oneida to Devonia just gained strong support from Anderson County, increasing pressure on Scott County leaders who previously opposed it. Advocates say the project could boost tourism, jobs, and infrastructure in New River and other communities along the corridor, while some residents remain wary of traffic and outside influence.
   

• Oneida Passes ATV Ordinance for Park (scnoneida.net) — New rules at Oneida City Park now limit ATV and side‑by‑side use to fully street‑legal vehicles driven only on existing roads, driveways, and parking areas. Grassy spaces, playgrounds, fields, trails, and sidewalks are off-limits, with speed limits and fines up to $50 per violation to protect pedestrians and park property.
   

• Phillips-Jones Chosen for Statewide Leadership Program (scnoneida.net) — Oneida Mayor Lori Phillips-Jones has been chosen for the inaugural PULSE TN leadership program, putting Oneida’s interests into a statewide conversation about strengthening communities. She’ll join officials and nonprofit leaders from across Tennessee in workshops and service projects aimed at tackling rural challenges, education, and addiction, potentially bringing new ideas and connections back home.
