• Roane State Foundation announces 2026-2027 High School Merit Award recipients (scnoneida.net) — Several Oneida seniors have been awarded Roane State Foundation scholarships for the 2026–27 school year, including Earl McDonald, Plateau Electric Cooperative, W.H. Swain, and Bromma Pemberton awards. The Foundation recognized more than 100 high-achieving students regionwide, distributing over $123,000 now and planning nearly $400,000 more in aid this summer.

• Scott County 4-H Members Shine at State Roundup (scnoneida.net) — Oneida High School junior Ryleigh Boutwell has been elected a Representative at Large on the Tennessee State 4-H Council, giving local youth a voice in statewide programs. Scott County 4-H members also brought home a state photography championship, a trip to National 4-H Congress, and major service awards during the recent Tennessee 4-H Roundup at UT Martin.
