• TVA Upgrade of 1955 John Sevier Dam on Holston River near Rogersville, TN (blogspot.com) — Work at the John Sevier Dam near Rogersville has reached a major safety milestone, with the right embankment now fully protected and no longer needing round-the-clock monitoring. TVA is building a new roller-compacted concrete gravity dam downstream to reduce erosion and lower the risk of mercury-contaminated sediment being released from the Holston River area above the dam.
