4 Dallas Restaurants Make Top-100 List

DALLAS, TX — Foodies in Dallas have something worth bragging about. Four somethings, actually, because OpenTable named four Dallas restaurants in their "100 Best Restaurants in America" roundup.

The roundup analyzes more than 12,000,000 user reviews of across some 26,000 restaurants nationwide to make the determination.

The annual list is produced using reviews from verified diners collected during the last year. Restaurants were then sorted according to each restaurant's average rating in the "overall category." American, French and Italian cuisines remain the most popular, according to OpenTable, but there is an increasing number of Indian, Japanese, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food making the cut this year.

The 100 top eateries are located in 24 states and the District of Columbia. The largest number of restaurants on the list come from New York and California, with 19 each. Illinois tied with Pennsylvania for next on the list, followed by Washington D.C. with seven and Texas with five.

Le Bilboquet, 4514 Travis Street

Neighborhood Services describes its food as "Honest Food & Drink in The American Tradition." Dishes like Chicken Fricassee Pot Pie and 'Truck Stop' Dry-Aged Steak give diners the experience of true homestyle cooking with a gourmet twist.

Shinsei Restaurant, 7713 Inwood Rd.

Shinsei Restaurant in Dallas keeps it simple with an environment that welcomes everyone. The restaurant serves traditional sushi and dishes from a Pan-Asian kitchen.

"We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal. "

Uchi, 2817 Maple Ave

With a seasonal, rotating menu and signature flavors and textures, Uchi's Chef Tyson Cole "pushes the boundaries of Japanese cuising, drawing inspiration from numerous points around the globe and mixing traditional master knife work with cutting-edge techniques."

The seasonal menu offers a variety of unique dishes four times a year just for Dallas diners.
