The Dallas Farmers Market has been going strong for over 80 years. Shop locally grown produce at this outdoor pavilion. Find pasture raised meats, farm fresh eggs, cheese, honey, artisanal ready-to-eat food, along with fruits and vegetables grown right in Texas.

2. Cool Thursdays Concert Series
When: Thursdays, starting April 23; Gates open at 6 p.m., concerts begin at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, 8525 Garland Road, Dallas
Bring a picnic dinner, enjoy live music, stunning sunset views and relax for a few hours. Set against the backdrop of White Rock Lake, the concert series in its 29th season, offers good vibes only.

3. Spring Celebration with Avant Chamber Ballet

4. Cedar Ridge Preserve
When: Tuesday through Sunday, 6:30 a.m. to sunset
Where: 7171 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas
Grab a backpack, some snacks, and head off on a leisure walk or hike at this nature sanctuary located on Dallas’ outskirts. With nine miles of trails, varying in difficulty, located on 633 acres, the preserve offers a respite from the big city. Enjoy the wide variety of wildlife and bird species that inhabit the preserve. There is also a butterfly garden on site.

5. Wildflower Arts & Music Festival
When: May 15 - 17
Where: Galatyn Park Urban Center, 2351 Performance Drive, Richardson
For more than 34 years, the festival has been bringing together top tier musicians and eclectic artists for a three-day celebration. From music, including a Battle of the Bands, to regional cuisine and a student art contest, the event is sure to please the entire family.

6. Reunion Tower

Whether you are planning a girls’ night out, a special date night or a fun day trip with the kids, Reunion Tower will take your spirits sky high. Day or night, the Geo-Deck, located 470 feet above Dallas, offers breathtaking views of the city. During the day, you can see forever, at night enjoy the sparkling skyline and maybe pair it with drinks and dinner.

7. Dallas Art Fair

Housed in a 74,000 square foot mid-century modern building, the curated event will include modern and contemporary artworks from national and international galleries. The event draws art collectors, art professionals and those who are just interested in viewing and learning more about art.
