COVID Sidelines 4 Dallas Cowboys Coaches From Thanksgiving Game
Four Dallas coaches were not at the Thanksgiving Day home game against the Las Vegas Raiders because of coronavirus, according to reports.
DALLAS, TX — Four coaches for the Dallas Cowboys NFL team and Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper were all sidelined from the Thanksgiving Day game against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to news reports.
Offensive line coach Joe Philbin and assistant strength and conditioning coach Kendall Smith were not at Thursday's game at AT&T Stadium because of COVID-19 protocols, Sports Illustrated reported. Assistant O-line coach Jeff Blasko took Philbin's place during the game.
Another two coaches, assistant strength and conditioning coach Cedric Smith and Linebacker coach Richard Smith, were also sidelined from the game because of COVID, CBS Sports reported.

Cooper, 27, is unvaccinated against the coronavirus and tested positive for the virus last week, prompting a 10-day quarantine and knocking him out of two games: Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Thanksgiving game against the Raiders.
Thursday marked the Dallas Cowboys' 54th Thanksgiving Day game.
