Dallas Cowboys Set To Hire Mike McCarthy As New Coach: Report
The Cowboys have moved quickly in finding a replacement for Jason Garrett, reportedly reaching a deal with Mike McCarthy on Monday.

DALLAS, TX — The Dallas Cowboys are expected to hire former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy to replace Jason Garrett, according to reports.
McCarthy coached in Green Bay for 13 seasons, where he compiled a 125-77-2 record and made the playoffs nine times. During his tenure he also won Super Bowl XLV and made the NFC Championship game two other times.

McCarthy stayed over at the Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones' house on Saturday night, according to reports. "Once you stay at Jerry's house, he doesn't lose his guy," a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

McCarthy has been a top head coach target since he was fired from Green Bay in the middle of the 2018 season. He interviewed for the New York Jets' vacancy in the 2018 off-season and also turned down meetings with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Cardinals.
The former Packers' coach met with the Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns and New York Giants regarding their recent coaching vacancies, before interviewing with Dallas over the weekend.
