Dallas Ranked Among Best American Cities To Retire

A senior living company conducted a survey of 2,000 people found that Americans believe they will need at least $610,000 to retire.

DALLAS, TX -- Dallas has been ranked as one of the best places for Americans to retire, according to a new analysis by the senior living community company Provision Living. The organization, which has 15 senior living communities in four states, conducted a survey of 2,000 Americans in October and collected data on ideal retirement age, retirement savings, and dream retirement location.

At the very top of the list was Miami with Dallas coming in at 11. Austin and Houston also made the list at 13 and 14, respectively.

Provision Living also found that roughly a a third of Americans (39 percent) believe they won’t be financially secure to retire without social security while 43 percent of millennials have less than $5,000 saved for retirement.
