1. 25-Year-Old Woman Killed, Five Others Wounded in Dallas Highland Hills Shooting (irvingweekly.com) — A deadly shooting near Paul Quinn College in Dallas' Highland Hills neighborhood left 25-year-old Zariea Brown dead and five others wounded early Saturday, with all survivors reported in stable condition. Dallas police and Fire-Rescue responded around 12:55 a.m., and investigators are still searching for suspects and a motive, urging anyone with information to contact Detective B. Billings or Crime Stoppers.
   

2. Dallas Police Search for Robbery Suspect Accused of Punching Employee During Theft (irvingweekly.com) — Dallas police are asking residents to help identify a suspect who stole merchandise from a business on Polk Street and punched an employee in the face before fleeing. Investigators have released a photo and are urging anyone with information to contact Detective M. Mulvihill or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers, which is offering up to $5,000 for leads.
   

3. Social media data leads Dallas police to 19-year-old suspect months after fatal shooting (dallasnews.com) — Dallas residents are learning more about how police used social media and phone records to arrest a 19-year-old suspect in a June 14 fatal shooting after a backyard party in Pleasant Grove. Investigators tied Instagram accounts, videos of a modified pistol, witness statements, and T‑Mobile location data to the man, who is now held in Dallas County jail on a murder charge.
   

4. Voucher in hand, no school to spend it on. Thousands of Texas students with disabilities returned state aid (texarkanagazette.com) — Dallas-area parents of children with disabilities are struggling to use new Texas Education Freedom Account vouchers because many private schools, including First Baptist Academy in Dallas, won't or can't accept their kids. With high tuition, limited special-needs capacity, and confusing timelines, many Dallas families are returning vouchers and turning back to public schools while still searching for better support.
