Witnesses, Police Save Woman From Kidnapping In Old East Dallas

DALLAS — One woman was rescued by police after being kidnapped from a Walgreen's store in Old East Dallas on Tuesday, police said.

According to a statement from police, officers were flagged down in the 4100 block of North Central Service Road and North Carroll Avenue, where a woman said she had been kidnapped from the Walgreen's store at 5001 Ross Avenue by a man she knew.

The man, identified as Concepcion Rosales-Zuniga, is accused of grabbing the woman while she was in the store, brandishing a gun from his waistband and forcing her to leave the store with him. He then forced her into a car driven by Vincente Parra and occupied by Celia Jaimes, a passenger.

Police said Rosales-Zuniga then handed the gun to Jaimes, who is accused of keeping it trained on the victim while Rosales-Zuniga slapped her face multiple times.

The victim's friends, meanwhile, were waiting in a car outside of the store. Police said they witnessed the victim's kidnapping and called for police.

The witnesses then followed the suspect car and flagged down officers in the area of Central Service Road and Carroll, where police stopped the car and arrested Rosales-Zuniga and the two accused accomplices.

Rosales-Zuniga, Parra and Jaimes were arrested on Aggravated Kidnapping charges and transported to Lew Sterrett Jail.
