Austin Weekend Guide July 19-22, 2018

From dance parties to movies, there is plenty to do over the weekend to beat the summer doldrums.

AUSTIN, TX — Some of us are staying indoors this weekend, what with the triple-digit heat that's been visiting the region in recent days. But if you're inclined to go out, there are lots of fun activities in the offing. Just make sure you drink plenty of water, especially at outdoor events.

606 East 7th Street

The touring Fleetwood Mac-themed party featuring dance-floor edits of the iconic band comes to Austin. Those bringing along their dancing shoes will gyrate with abandon to tunes from the 1977 studio album "Rumours," which went on to win the Grammy for Album of the Year and sell more than 40 million copies. You know the songs: Go Your Own Way; Dreams; Don't Stop; You Make Loving Fun. Surely, you know the songs. So this event features such songs in a touring DJ party with house versions of Fleetwood Mac songs that's all the rage across the country. This event is 18+ with a $5 minor surcharge at the door. Price: $8 to $12.
