Rolling Stones To Stop In Austin For 'No Filter' Tour

A mural featuring the band's iconic tongue logo at a building on Congress and Riverside hinted at news of a local concert stop.

AUSTIN, TX — It was hinted at with a mural of the famous Rolling Stones tongue logo and lyric snippets of the song "Gimme Shelter" on a building at Riverside Drive and Congress Avenue two days ago. And now it's official: The iconic rock and roll band is coming to Austin.

Mick Jagger revealed plans to bring the band's "No Filter" tour to Austin for a stop at the Circuit of the Americas Stage on May 24. Tickets to the concert will start at $98, and will go on sale to the general public on Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. A pre-sale for American Express card-holders begins on Feb. 12 at 10 a.m., according to organizers.

The band last rolled into Austin 14 years ago when they played at Zilker Park in 2006. The band teased the announcement with similar billboards to the one in Austin in telegraphing the tour stops. In Detroit, for example, the billboard reportedly featured the same wagging tongue logo but with lyrics to "Miss You." Concurrently, a social media posting on Monday from the band featured an animated video with the same logo cast as the "bat signal" in the sky with the text "feeling restless."
