• They're Not Tanks, But These Beefy Next-Gen US Army Combat Vehicles Are Ready For Testing (slashgear.com) — New prototype armored vehicles are being tested by the 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division based at Fort Hood, highlighting the post's central role in shaping the Army's next-generation combat fleet. Troops there are evaluating both the redesigned M1E3 Abrams tank and the hybrid-electric XM30 infantry vehicle to uncover issues before full-scale production and wider deployment.
