Five Harmony Public Schools campuses in North Texas have been named 2025 National Schools of Character by Character.org, a national organization dedicated to promoting character development in schools.

The honored campuses include Harmony Science Academy-Dallas Elementary, Harmony School of Innovation-Carrollton, Harmony School of Innovation-Euless, Harmony School of Innovation-Fort Worth, and Harmony School of Innovation-Waco.

The National School of Character designation recognizes schools that demonstrate a sustained commitment to fostering positive character traits, creating strong school cultures, and helping students develop skills such as empathy, responsibility, perseverance, and civic engagement. This year, only 72 schools nationwide received the honor.

“At Harmony, our mission is to empower every student with both intellectual strength and emotional integrity,” said Harmony Public Schools CEO Fatih Ay. “It’s truly inspiring to witness how our scholars are integrating academic knowledge with Character Education to enhance our schools and make meaningful contributions to their communities.”

Schools earning the designation undergo a rigorous evaluation process that examines how character education is woven into academics, school culture, student leadership opportunities, and community involvement.

“Schools of Character show us what is possible when a school community commits to intentionally building a culture where students learn not only academic skills, but also empathy, curiosity, civic responsibility, and perseverance,” said Nicole Diehl, executive director of Schools of Character.

Harmony Public Schools serves students across Texas through a network of more than 60 public charter school campuses. The district emphasizes STEM education, character development, project-based learning, and college readiness to prepare students for success in school, career, and life.
