George H.W. Bush Inspires Social Media Outpouring In Houston
Houston-based politicians, athletes, and business leaders were among the many to share their condolences for Bush and his family.

HOUSTON, TX -- The death of George H.W. Bush has inspired thousands of Houston-based organizations, celebrities, and residents to share their heartfelt condolences for the former president who died Friday at the age of 94. Among the commiserations included Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta who called the 41st president "a great servant leader who truly loved this country."
Journalist Craig Hlavaty posted a heartfelt Facebook tribute to Bush, who he spent years reporting on.
"His press manager would ask him the questions I’d send over and I’d get prompt and humorous George-like replies about anything from Tex-Mex to the Astros. I’m sad I never got to meet him (met Barb once though) and talk about Houston like two regular guys. He and the missus are back together again and all is well," Hlavaty wrote on Facebook.
