Irving Dirt Bike Rider Arrested After Fleeing Police Through North Irving Neighborhood (irvingweekly.com) — Irving police say a 20-year-old dirt bike rider led officers on a brief pursuit through a North Irving neighborhood after allegedly running multiple stop signs near Finley Road and McCarthy Street. The rider was later found hiding by an apartment complex, reportedly fled on foot, and was arrested on evading and resisting charges after officers caught up with him.

Man Breaks Into Ex-Wife's North Irving Apartment, Holds Knife to Her Chest (irvingweekly.com) — Irving police recently arrested a man accused of forcing his way into his ex-wife's North Irving apartment, damaging her belongings and allegedly holding a knife to her chest before she escaped to call 911. Officers say he now faces a first-degree felony burglary charge, interference with an emergency call, an outstanding warrant and an immigration hold.

Irving DWI Suspect Accused of Spitting on Officer, Kicking Another After Airport Freeway Crash (irvingweekly.com) — Irving police report that a 42-year-old driver was arrested on Airport Freeway after a minor crash, suspected intoxication, and repeatedly stepping into traffic. Officers say the situation escalated when the man allegedly resisted being placed in a patrol car, kicked one officer, spit in another's face, and was later booked into Irving Jail on multiple charges.

Irving to Host Gathering for Americans Who Grew Up on Overseas Military Bases (geneonline.com) — Irving will host a four-day gathering this fall for Americans who grew up on overseas U.S. military bases, bringing together people from places like Japan, Germany, England, and Taiwan. With 135 already registered from 125 bases and schools, organizers are still seeking more former "military brats" to reconnect and share their unique international childhood experiences here in Irving.
