Pflugerville Schools Operated On Partial Power After Storms
Several campuses were among the buildings deprived of electricity after powerful storms swept over the region on Monday.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Pflugerville ISD schools weren't spared the wrath of nature that knocked out power across the region following early Monday's powerful storms, with several schools operating under partial power.
Several campuses and the administration building were without power service on Monday. Officials stressed, however, that students were safe and that campuses were operating on a normal schedule. Still, some parents reportedly pulled their children up from school early because of the heat. While the rain helped cool things down in the early part of the day, temperatures climbed back up to the 90s as in the last several days.
Pflugerville ISD was not alone in being affected by the powerful storms. Austin Energy officials on Monday estimated some 2,500 of its customers were still without power as of Monday night, while Oncor Electric officials said some 2,500 people in the Pflugerville and Round Rock areas faced the same situation.
