Coronavirus: WilCo Illness Count Grows By 9 To 377
No new deaths were reported over the past 24 hours after two men in their 90s succumbed to the respiratory illness last week.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX β The number of new coronavirus cases in Williamson County grew by nine on Sunday from the previous 24 hours, bringing the total illness count to 377. No new deaths were reported.
According to a Williamson County and Cities Health District dashboard, 59 people have been hospitalized in the region since records have been kept with 38 admitted to intensive care units and 22 placed on ventilators.
Health officials noted on the dashboard that 213 people have recovered from the respiratory illness after contracting the virus.

Round Rock has recorded the highest illness concentration to date, according to the statistical dashboard, with 92 cases to date. Rates of illness elsewhere in the region include:

- Austin: 17 cases.
- Cedar Park: 23 cases.
- Georgetown: 27 cases.
- Hutto: 19 cases.
- Leander: 24 cases.
- Other: 24 cases.
Williamson County health officials no longer provide daily updates on illness counts, issuing advisories only when there are deaths. Still, members of the public can monitor the rate of illness spread by visiting the dashboard accessible by clicking here.
According to the dashboard, the male-to-female ratio in terms of illness cases is now an even split, with 50 percent of cases assigned to each gender. While the elderly have been identified as the most vulnerable population segment, a younger set β those in the 41-50 age group β comprises the most cases of illness to date in the county, with 172 patients identified in the demographic as illustrated on the dashboard.

Those over 60 represent the second most affected group, with 108 confirmed illness cases to date. Previously, health officials revealed an outbreak of illness at an unidentified nursing home that caused a spike in the county count after 46 cases were confirmed in that location alone.
Yet patients between the ages of 18-40 number 114 to date β a half dozen more than the elderly set often categorized as the most susceptible to new coronavirus. A still younger demographic up to 17 years of age have fared well proportionately, with just 13 illness cases recorded for the demographic to date as health officials tabulated on the dashboard.
