WASHINGTON, DC — After three days of presentations by House impeachment managers, President Donald Trump's defense team began its counterarguments Saturday morning. Senators are expected to meet for an abbreviated session today before adjourning until Monday.

Democratic managers concluded their opening arguments Friday, focusing on the second article of impeachment — obstruction of Congress — and saying that allowing Trump to stay in office would endanger the country.
