Abhipraya Subedi, Neighbor

As a seasoned professional, mentor, adjunct professor, editor, published author, and a doctoral candidate, he constantly focuses on development in the community and encourages entrepreneurships. Throughout his career, he has successfully developed and cultivated relationships with colleagues and clients. Prior to his role at United Way of the National Capital Area, he has proven himself to be a corporate asset through his uncanny ability to develop new business opportunities using legislative research, strategic planning, and marketing techniques nationally and internationally.

In addition to his professional successes, he also supports his community by volunteering his time to many organizations. He serves on the board of Nepali Akash and Bridge to Freedom Foundation. He is also an active member of Association of Fundraising Professionals, National Associations of Business Economics, American Economic Association, United Nations Association of National Capital Area, and International City/County Management Association.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, masters in International Business and Management from Virginia International University, USA and currently pursuing his doctoral degree from University of North America, USA.

He is fluent in three languages. He has received numerous professional certifications such as Certified Nonprofit Management, Certified Economist Measurement, Negotiation and Conflict Management and Conflict Analysis and many others of all of which has assisted him in becoming the seasoned professional that he is today.
