Join us for a night of uninhibited artistic expression as we invite you to our very first Open Mic Night!
Whether you’re a seasoned performer or a first-timer, come amplify your voice or instrument and be part of a community that values and celebrates the power of expression!
The mic is open to ALL performers (18+) from poets to singers to musicians. There will be 12 slots available for our open mic performances–5 mins each from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Performers are welcome to contact Nepenthe Gallery before the event to add their name to the line up—-please contact Carrie at carrie@nepenthegallery.com to add your name and you will get confirmation that you are on the list. If the list fills up we will have a Waiting List.

Kim T. Richards lives in beautiful Loudoun County, VA, and shows her work in the Washington DC region. Growing up in Brooklyn, NY, Kim had opportunities to see great art at the many museums in the city from a very young age. Inspired to pursue a career in art, Kim attended Parsons School of Design where she received classical drawing and painting training, earning a BFA in Illustration. Embarking on a 25 year career in textile design and working in NY and SF, Kim created many floral designs. Her current body of oil and gouache paintings are focused on the beauty of everyday moments, drawing the viewer’s attention to the things they might walk by without noticing. We are excited that Kim will be our first Art+Wine+Cheese featured artist at our new location at 7928 Fort Hunt Road in Alexandria.
