The Salvation Army Alexandria Citadel Corps is helping people meet their basic needs - and turn their lives around. This is evident at "Cornerstone", Alexandria's Transitional Housing program. More than just a bed, Cornerstone is a foundation for change. The program helps women suffering from chronic job and home loss, and works with them to break the cycle of poverty through case management, career training, life skills and spiritual support. Your donations keep the doors open and provides for those with the most need.

Degreed music teachers and volunteers teach music skills to students of all ages at the Alexandria School for the Performing Arts (ASPA). Classes in guitar, piano, voice, brass instruments and more are possible because of your support and donations.

Year-round support is available for people in crisis- utility and rental assistance for families facing eviction, food and gift baskets for the hungry and untility help to keep the lights and water on. At the core of it all is the commitment to meeting the spirutal needs of the community, through weekly church services and bible study which is open to everyone.
