Nancy Isles Nation, Patch Staff
- San Rafael, CA
I am originally from a small town on Long Island, that is now covered by the Three Village Patch site. My husband and I moved to San Francisco to attend what were then excellent and affordable state schools. I worked my way through San Francisco State University, earning a degree in journalism.
To get my career rolling, I began working for a business weekly in San Francisco and moved on to several other publications, eventually becoming a reporter in Marin.
My daughter attended Dixie and San Rafael schools and earned her own degree at San Francisco State.
My political leanings are to the left and, while I was raised Catholic, my family left the church when I was a teen and I am not a religious person at all.
In my spare time, I like to take walks and hikes in Marin and San Francisco and I try to run daily. Some of you have recognized me out there and it's fun when you stop me to say hello.
