Sound Bowls for Beginners - A Hands-On Workshop
Curious about sound bowls and ready to experience them for yourself?
This two-hour beginner workshop is for anyone who feels drawn to the sound and vibration of singing bowls and wants to learn how to play them in a welcoming, hands-on setting.
No experience is needed, and no instruments are required. Brass Tibetan bowls, mallets, and materials will be provided. If you already have a bowl, you are welcome to bring it.
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
<ul><li>The history of sound bowls</li><li>How sound, vibration, and frequency can affect the body and mind</li><li>The difference between crystal and brass bowls</li><li>How to choose a sound bowl</li><li>How to connect with and play a sound bowl</li><li>Which mallets to use and when</li></ul>
You’ll leave with:
<ul><li>Greater confidence in choosing and playing a bowl</li><li>Foundational techniques you can continue practicing at home</li><li>A deeper understanding of the unique qualities of different sound bowls</li><li>Clarity on which mallets to use and when</li><li>A stronger connection to sound, vibration, and presence</li></ul>
Whether you are brand new or already have a bowl at home, this workshop will help you deepen your connection and begin with confidence.

This deeply relaxing group sound meditation is designed to help calm the nervous system, quiet the busy mind and create space for rest, release and renewal. Through the soothing vibrations of crystal and metal singing bowls, chimes and other gentle sound instruments, you’ll be guided into a meditative state where the body can soften and reset.
No experience with meditation or sound healing is needed. Simply lie back, get comfortable and allow the sound and vibration to support you.
This session is ideal for anyone feeling stressed, overstimulated, burned out or simply in need of a peaceful reset. Cushions will be provided. Please bring anything that helps you feel cozy and supported, such as a blanket, pillow or eye mask.

Even though the summer has barely begun, we are busy getting ready for the next school year with our Back 2 School Campaign!
Children living in group homes and shelters that may face an uncertain future, need reassurance they will have ample school supplies and a new book bag, even if they aren't quite ready for a new school year! If students arrive on the first day of school physically and emotionally prepared to learn, their chances of success are greater! For more than 32 years, our steadfast goal remains that we will provide homeless and underserved children in our community with the tools they need to learn….and succeed!
We need enthusiastic people to spread the word about our Back 2 School campaign and rally friends, family, work colleagues, neighborhood, church, and social/civic groups to collect NEW book bags and school supplies. Every item collected will go to children in need and every donation is appreciated.
We welcome individuals and groups to rise up to the challenge of helping deserving kids! Start your collection today and plan to drop off your donations on July 23-24. .&nbsp;
