Susan Louchen, Dyslexia Specialist, Neighbor

Susan Louchen is a Dyslexia Specialist in private practice, serving Manassas-Gainesville-Haymarket and surrounding areas. A K-12 Special Education teacher, with endorsement in Specific Learning Disabilities, Ms. Louchen has advanced training in both screening for dyslexia, and Orton-Gillingham based reading and writing instruction.

Ms. Louchen provides consultation to parents and schools, and intensive Multisensory Structured Language Therapy to students with dyslexia who have been performing "below grade level." As a result of intensive, individual MSL Therapy, most students become independent readers within 36 months. Ms. Louchen received her Post-Graduate Professional training through Old Dominion University (2007), Master of Science from Virginia Commonwealth University (1984), and Bachelor of Science from Temple University (1981).  She is a member of the International Dyslexia Association, Virginia Professional Educators, Virginia Home Educator Association, and Institute for Multisensory Education.
