Patch's focus on local news greatly appeals to me. I'm an intern in the St. Louis region for the 2011 summer and want to someday work for a small town paper.
I will be a senior at the University of Missouri in the fall and prior to Patch, I worked as a city reporter for the Columbia Daily Tribune.
Hard-news, local reporting is my specilty. I believe this kind of news impacts people the most, but is often the least reported. That's a big reason why I wanted to come to Patch.
