'Get off the streets' Motorsports park in Tooele urges street racers to keep roads safe (fox13now.com) — After viral video of hundreds of cars taking over a Salt Lake City street for illegal racing, Utah Motorsports Campus in Tooele is urging drivers to bring their need for speed to its legal track instead. New local owners are investing in upgrades and hosting affordable "Wide Open Wednesday" sessions, pitching a safer alternative that keeps fast cars off city roads while still giving enthusiasts a place to push limits.
   

2. U. researchers find possible water source in Mount Timpanogos rock glacier (ksl.com) — University of Utah researchers in Salt Lake City have mapped a hidden rock glacier above Emerald Lake on Mount Timpanogos, finding enough buried ice to fill 600 Olympic pools and contribute late‑summer water to Utah streams. Their new gravity‑based method suggests hundreds of similar rock glaciers statewide, offering both a quiet water reserve and potential hazards if climate‑driven glacier changes trigger landslides or floods.
   

3. 'This is not a cure, but I'll take it' Utah cancer patient finds hopeful results in clinical trial (fox13now.com) — A new FDA‑approved pancreatic cancer drug, tested with help from Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, is giving patients precious extra time. Bountiful shop owner Gary Wight joined an early clinical trial and says the pill has stopped his tumors' growth, letting him keep working and enjoy nearly two extra years with his family so far.
   

4. 'Deseret Voices' Episode 47 — Tariff tensions: Is Canada done being America's nice neighbor? (deseret.com) — Salt Lake City recently hosted top North American trade leaders at The Grand America Hotel, where they dissected growing tensions over the USMCA trade deal. Now, former Canadian trade minister Mary Ng joins the "Deseret Voices" podcast to explain how this escalating tariff fight could reshape cross-border jobs, prices, and long-term relations between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
