• Vermont wants to train the next generation of physicians. How much should insured Vermonters be paying for it? (vtdigger.org) — Burlington's UVM Medical Center is relying heavily on commercial insurance payments to help cover the high cost of training future doctors, a burden that ultimately lands in Vermonters' premiums. Regulators and analysts are pushing for more transparency and a statewide strategy so this investment in medical education better matches Vermont's physician shortages without further driving up already steep insurance costs. 
• #13 Vermont nets four goals in win over Colgate (wcax.com) — UVM men's soccer kicked off its home slate in Burlington with a convincing 4-1 win over Colgate, moving the nationally ranked Catamounts to 2-0. Four different players scored, and coach Adrian Dubois praised the team's improved fitness, cohesion, and finishing in front of goal compared to their season opener.
