• From hobbit holes to giant sculptures, Joplin Wistar turns imagination into local landmarks (vermontpublic.org) — Shelburne residents may recognize Joplin Wistar's whimsical creations, from hobbit holes and grapevine benches to the towering "Zephyr" sculpture at Shelburne Pond Studios and the troll at LaPlatte Crossing. The longtime Shelburne Community School teacher now runs local nature-based programs and summer Enchantment Camps, turning his backyard and town spaces into imaginative landmarks kids and neighbors can explore.
   

• Old Crow Medicine Show Extends New Year's Eve Tradition at the Ryman with North Mississippi Allstars (gratefulweb.com) — Old Crow Medicine Show is bringing its 2026 tour to Shelburne Museum's Ben & Jerry's Concerts on the Green on September 18, giving local fans a chance to see the GRAMMY-winning band close to home. The group also announced its traditional New Year's Eve shows at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium and released a new video for their song "Revolution Now."
   

• Shelburne native shines for Argentina at World Lacrosse Women's Championship (wcax.com) — A Shelburne-born lacrosse standout, Gretta White, just helped Argentina surge into the global top ten at the World Lacrosse Women's Championship in Tokyo, scoring 14 goals. The former CVU and current Cornell player balances deep Vermont roots with her mother's Argentinian heritage, and she's now eyeing LA 2028 as Argentina begins its multi-step Olympic qualifying push.
