• Annandale Fentanyl Case Leads To 6-Count Federal Indictment (patch.com) — Annandale residents are learning more about a major federal drug case centered on an apartment complex along Commons Drive, where investigators say multiple undercover fentanyl buys led to a six-count indictment. Federal and Fairfax County authorities describe repeated pill sales in stairwells, a search that uncovered large quantities of drugs, cash and a gun, and ongoing proceedings in U.S. District Court.
   

• 250th Commission hosts free screening of '1776' (annandaletoday.com) — A free screening of the musical film "1776" is coming to the James Lee Community Center on Annandale Road on Sept. 18, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Residents can drop in without tickets, enjoy a history-focused movie night, and learn more about the Fairfax County 250th Commission's ongoing efforts to highlight Revolutionary-era history.
