2nd DC Officer Dies In Aftermath Of Riots At Nation’s Capitol
Another D.C. police officer involved in the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol has committed suicide. Acting D.C. Police Chief Robert J. Contee announced Officer Jeffrey Smith's death during a closed session of the House Appropriations Committee Tuesday evening. On Jan. 10, the police department revealed that Officer Howard Liebengood, 51, also had died by suicide.

After Inova announced the cancellation of first vaccine dose appointments starting on Jan. 26, Fairfax County Public Schools says appointments for its employees are starting to be rescheduled.
