Arlington County Police charged two men, one from D.C. and another from Manassas, with assaulting police officers.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police say that two individuals recently taken into custody, one in Pentagon City and the other in the Williamsburg area, assaulted police officers during their arrests, according to the daily crime report.
In the first case, officers were dispatched around 10:11 a.m. on Tuesday to a hotel in the 700 block of 12th Street S. for the report of a domestic dispute. Hotel management told police that individuals staying in a room were not registered guests. ACPD arrested Paris Simmons, 21, of Washington, D.C., and charged him with assault & battery on law enforcement, obstruction of justice, giving false identity to law enforcement while detained, manufacture/sell/possess fake identification, and identity theft.
