3 Arrested in Arlington After Attack on Uber Driver
Police said one man hit the driver in the face with a beer bottle and another punched a window.

A wild Saturday night in Arlington ended with three men getting arrested on charges of attacking an Uber driver with a beer bottle and shattering a window.
The Uber driver was driving in the 500 block of S. Washington Boulevard at around 11 p.m. Feb. 20 with six passengers in his sport utility vehicle when he noticed that some of the occupants were drinking alcohol, said Ashley Savage, spokesperson for Arlington County Police.
The driver asked them to stop drinking, and the occupants started arguing with him, prompting him to pull over and attempt to “terminate the fare,” Savage said.

All six of them got out, and three of them decided to go on and get another cab, but the other three realized they had locked some property in the vehicle, resulting in another argument. One of them punched the window of the SUV, causing it to shatter, while another hit the driver in the face with a beer bottle, Savage said.
The three men bolted from the scene. The driver had a cut to his face, but did not go to the hospital.

Police were able to call the woman who requested the Uber, but she didn’t know the individuals who had reportedly assaulted the Uber driver. Police were in the middle of setting up the perimeter when they spotted a cab with occupants matching the description of the assailants.
One of them had “severe” cuts to his hands, possibly from punching the window, Savage said.
Police arrested Justin Allen Norconk, 26; Lance Daniel Ingram, 25; and Jeffery Eugene Rowe Jr., 26, all of Woodbridge, Va. Norconk was charged with malicious wounding and assault by mob, Ingram was charged with assault by mob, and Rowe was charged with destruction of property. All three are being held without bond, according to the police report.
