Arlington Coronavirus Update: More Than 26K Vaccine Doses Given
Virginia Health District confirmed 42 additional cases of the new coronavirus Monday in the Arlington Health District.

ARLINGTON, VA — On Tuesday, Arlington County residents began pre-registering for vaccine appointments on the statewide pre-registration system.
This follows a directive from Gov. Ralph Northam asking localities across the state to halt their own pre-registration system last Friday and move over to the statewide system. Appointments opened to the public on Tuesday morning.
Anyone who previously filled out a survey or form in their local health district will have their information automatically imported into the statewide system.

The pre-registration system is available at vaccinate.virginia.gov. Commonwealth residents who have pre-registered through their local health departments are being automatically added to the statewide system and do not need to register again. As data migration continues throughout the week, VDH expects it could take days for pre-registered residents' name to appear in the statewide system.
Eligible groups in phase 1b are all residents 65 and older, Virginians ages 16 to 64 with underlying conditions, certain essential worker groups, and people living in homeless shelters, correctional facilities and migrant labor camps. People in phase 1a, health-care workers and long-term care facility residents, are also eligible for the coronavirus vaccination.
