ARLINGTON, VA — A 33-year-old Arlington man is facing two charges of assaulting a police officer in connection with an incident that occurred early Friday in the Westmont area, according to Arlington County Police.

Officers responded around 12:31 a.m. for the report of a dispute at a residential building in the 3800 block of Columbia Pike. As they were investigating the situation, a suspect ignored one of the officer’s commands, pushed past an officer in order to enter the investigation area, and then hit another officer, according to police.

ACPD arrested Ismael Rodriguez of Arlington, charging him with two assault on police charges.
