DC Man Wanted In Arlington On Commercial Burglary Charges Arrested In Fairfax Co.
Fairfax County police arrested a D.C. man who was wanted in Arlington for a string of recent commercial burglaries, authorities say.
ARLINGTON, VA — Fairfax County police arrested a 36-year-old District man believed to be responsible for a string of recent commercial burglaries across Arlington County, according to authorities.
Fairfax police served Jimmie Lamont Williams of Washington, D.C., with 14 arrest warrants from Arlington County, charging him with four counts of burglary, five counts of destruction of property, three counts of petit larceny and two counts of wearing a mask in public, according to the incident report. Williams is being held in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
ACPD released the following information about the five burglaries Williams is suspected to have committed:

- At approximately 3:29 a.m. on January 23, police were dispatched to the 5500 block of Columbia Pike for the report of an activated burglary alarm. The investigation determined the suspect threw a trash can into the store front window, but it did not break and he did not make entry.
- At approximately 3:33 a.m. on January 23, police were dispatched to the 5000 block of Columbia Pike for an activated burglary alarm. The investigation determined the suspect forced entry into a business by breaking the front glass door, rummaged through the interior, stole merchandise and fled the scene.
- At approximately 6:03 a.m. on January 23, police were dispatched to the 4800 block of Langston Boulevard for the report of a breaking and entering. It was determined at approximately 2:30 a.m., the suspect forced entry into a business by breaking the front glass door. He stole merchandise and fled the scene.
- At approximately 6:28 a.m. on January 23, while investigating the above-mentioned incident, officers canvassed the area and determined the suspect forced entry into a business in the 2200 block of N. Buchanan Street by breaking the front glass door. He stole merchandise and fled the scene.
- At approximately 7:11 a.m. on February 4, police were dispatched to the 2200 block of N. Buchanan Street for the late report of a burglary. The investigation determined at approximately 1:22 a.m., the suspect forced entry into a business by breaking the front glass door. He stole merchandise and fled the scene.
During the course of their investigation, detectives were able to link the five cases and identify Williams as the suspect, according to ACPD.
Williams was arraigned on Feb. 11 in Fairfax County General District Court, followed by a bond hearing on Feb. 17, according to court documents. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for 2 p.m. on April 28. Williams remains in custody in Fairfax County.

All of the charges Williams is facing are felonies, with entering a building while armed, which is a Class 2 felony, the most serious. If convicted on this charge, Williams faces a potential sentence of 20 years to life in prison and fines of up to $100,00, under Virginia law.
