Dispute Over Packages Leads To Arlington Woman's Arrest: Police
Arlington County Police arrested a 35-year-old Arlington woman who they say damaged a delivery vehicle after arguing with its driver.
ARLINGTON, VA — A 35-year-old Arlington woman was arrested Monday afternoon, accused of robbery and damaging a delivery driver’s vehicle following an argument about packages in the Arlandria area, according to Arlington County Police.
Officers responded around 1:41 p.m. to the 2900 block of South Glebe Road for a destruction of property report. An initial investigation revealed that a delivery driver was inside her parked vehicle when a woman walked up to the vehicle and started arguing with the driver about packages, according to police.
After damaging the vehicle’s windshield wiper, the woman took packages from inside the vehicle. When the driver tried to stop her, the suspect ran off with items, according to police. The officers located the suspect nearby and took her into custody.

Helen Mengesha of Arlington was charged her with robbery and destruction of property. She was held without bond.
