Nathan’s Cancer Slayers works in memory of Nathan Fleming, who graduated from Washington-Liberty High School in 2019 while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. He passed away a week after his 18th birthday.

Nathan was one of a kind, a great soul, and wise beyond his years. Loving and kind, funny, smart, a little bit goofy, and always positive. He would have turned 25 on September 20. ✨

Since 2020, Nathan’s team has raised more than $815,000 to fight childhood cancer and is now working toward an incredible milestone: $1 MILLION raised in Nathan’s memory.

Nathan’s team directly funds promising research at USC and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), where researchers are testing a gentle, yet powerful “multi-hit” approach combining a fasting-mimicking diet, high-dose IV vitamin C and doxycycline alongside chemotherapy.

This gentler approach helps protect healthy cells and reduce toxic side effects and has already shown promising results in adult trials for some of the toughest cancers, including lung, pancreatic, colorectal, and triple-negative breast cancers. Our goal is to move this work toward pediatric clinical trials within 2 to 3 years.
