Man Accused Of Trying To Kick A Dog Then Pepper Spraying Owner
Arlington County Police arrested a local man Thursday in connection with an assault at Chestnut Hills Park.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police say that a local man tried to kick a dog and then pepper sprayed its owner Thursday afternoon at Chestnut Hills Park, according to the daily crime report.
ACPD officers were dispatched around 4:55 p.m., for the report of an assault in the 2700 block of N. Harrison St. They learned the victims were playing with their dogs at the park when an irate man approached them and tried to kick one of the dogs. A verbal dispute ensued, during which the man pepper sprayed one of the dog owners. Police located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. Medics treated the victim for minor injuries at the park.
Police arrested Geoffrey Moes, 57 of Arlington, and charged him with malicious wounding by caustic substance. He is being held on an unsecured bond.
